DJ by Design’s main man Martin has been a lover of music and record collector for as long as he can remember. The fact that the first record he remembers buying is the theme music to “Monkey”, should not be held against him.  Around the age of 15, the urge to be a DJ manifested itself, ultimately evolving into DJ by Design Mobile Disco.

Martin prides himself on the ability to spot a hot track across genres, a handy tool for a mobile DJ. Covering a wide range of styles to suit everyone is not a problem.  If you want a night of Tamla Motown and hits of the 60’s, no worries. Club standard House DJs, our man Lee’s a pretty slick mixer. Commercial chart and dance - sorted.  If you’re a bit of an old soul boy like Martin, how about some Luther, Joyce Sims and Fatback? Finally, heartfelt grooves for lovers? What ever your special song is we’ll have it there on the day.

Of course the choice most people make is a night full of eclectica spanning decades and styles. That way everyone’s happy, from Mum to fifteen-year old Wayne, awash with hormones and spots, trying desperately hard to be cool at Grandad’s retirement do! Martin also has a pool of quality DJs to assist for the bookings he can’t make. He’s heard them all play and screened them for quality. They’re also his mates and thoroughly nice chaps.
